Head's Welcome
Welcome to Oaksey C of E Primary School! I am very proud to be Headteacher of our small village school at the heart of our community. Oaksey is a special place to learn and I hope you feel the warm, friendly environment as soon as you walk through the door. At Oaksey we pride ourselves on building strong relationships, creating a sense of belonging and ensuring that every child feels supported, challenged and celebrated. Our school vision 'As individuals we let our light shine, but we shine brighter together,' encapsulates this.
At Oaksey, we believe that education is about far more than lessons. It’s about fostering curiosity, kindness, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. Our dedicated team work closely together to provide engaging experiences both in and beyond the classroom, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to shine. We enjoy strong school-home partnerships and, together, create a learning family that is warm, inclusive, and ambitious for every child’s future.

World Book Day
It's been great fun! Thank you to everyone for making such an effort with costumes. From Paddington to Bilbo Baggins and the BFG, we've had a wonderful cast of characters! Today we've enjoyed sharing favourite stories with our buddies, having a story from a teacher from a different class and a World Book Day assembly. One of the key takeaways from today is that you can travel to all sorts of wonderful places with a book. Check out Galleries for more...

Crystal Growers
Sapphire chose to grow crystals for their class treat and these glittering gems were the result! They cracked eggs, washed the shells and then coated the inside with glue and Epsom salts. Next they made a solution of salt, water and food colouring before putting them in a warm place. A very exciting moment when the egg boxes were opened!
